Some thoughts.
I refuse to comment about Barack Obama's race. It's neat that he's black, and the first black president ever, but there is an even deeper victory here, and I'm afraid his being black will cause us to lose sight of that.
But losing sight of the main victory doesn't diminish it, however.
Barack Obama is one of the most intelligent, honest politicians with merit that I can think of. He will rival the best presidents, if elected. And that's exactly what we need.
We endured 8 years of Bush, and now I feel like I'm given a chance to be picky with my public officials. My only woe is that he can't possibly be president for more than 8 years. But that's okay. Let the healing begin!!!

a little depressed on this friday. just having issues with my lack of direction and forward movement. i can say what i need to do til the cows come home, but i seem to get caught up in this malaise that keeps me from taking direct action.

how do you balance the life you want with the obligations in the life you have? or rather, how does one make the transition? my book i filled out for work was correct, i do not like taking large risks. the taurus in me i suppose.

Are you fucking kidding me?
So.. I've been kind of excited about Live Mesh since I heard about it a few weeks ago. It's basically a sync software that will sync all of your computers and allow you to use remote desktop(even if you didn't pay the extra obscene amount of money for windows vista ultimate). And it seems to do it in a pretty package. It sounded pretty neat, and I signed up for the beta. Well about 10 minutes ago, I got the beta invite, and it's already full of fail. I sign in, I download the software.. and I'm all happy... until I open it

..... You can't run it as administrator.... and you can't run it with UAC turned off. You have GOT to be kidding me. Who actually leaves UAC turned on. That is the single most annoying software feature known to man. I'd rather have the paperclip turned on than UAC.

As soon as I figure out how to leave feedback, they're getting a rather lengthy complaint.

But since I don't want to leave nothing but fail in this post, I'll go ahead and let you know that searchme.com is in open beta now. Go check it out. It's a really pretty search engine.

So I've been seeing these advertisements for Burger King's "Loaded Steakhouse Burger." And I have to admit that it sounded kinda good. I was fooled by the Baconator. I mean, the name alone made me want it in my mouth. But when I got it home, it looked nothing like its picture, and it was like a brick in my stomach for several hours later.

The Loaded Steakhouse Burger immediately got a few points for at least looking more like it's picture than the Baconator... but it quickly lost them as I made my way through the sandwich. And after reading the ingredients, I can see why. See... I just looked at the picture and thought "hmm.. that looks good." Had I actually read the ingredients, I wouldn't have dreamed of eating it. Let me list them for you.

Black Angus Beef
A1 steak sauce
Cheese
Onion fries
"Loaded Baked Potato" consisting of :
potato
chives
bacon bits

And while I like all of these things individually(with the exception of the steak sauce), this sandwich was anything but good. Not only was it greasy and not at all tastey, but my body damn near rejected it about an hour later. I thought I was never going to finish digesting it. I'm sure that the lady at the drivethrough was laughing to herself when I asked for it with a diet coke.

I'm sure that most of you aren't as easily swayed by advertisements for things like this as I am... but if you are, do not.. I repeat.. do not eat this sandwich.

something to keep an eye on. I'd love to see how this works in practice.

I love Unnecessary Censorship.

yay zune update!(*cough*addingfeaturesthatshouldhavebeentherefromthebeginning*cough*)

I kinda like this phone. But I have a feeling that by the time it comes out, there will be an even cooler android phone available.

Gah! finally. It took me until now to sort through all of the rss feed news that built up over my vacation. Things are back to normal.

My eyes and these contacts are not agreeing with each other right now. Actually, it's getting a little better, but last night when I was trying to take them out, I had to dig in my eye. It took me 10 minutes to get the right one out. I didn't have nearly as much trouble getting them in as I did yesterday though. But my eyelashes get in the way hardcore. Damn my long luxurious lashes!

And my fat unicorn shirt came in yesterday! :D
