A look into the life of Adam Caskey
Graduation; website updates; next?
Well, it is done.  I've finally graduated from college, and I cannot tell you how bittersweet I am over this huge transition in my life.  This started as a crazy idea of mine back in 1999 to go back to school at Georgia State University, and has ended up 8 years later with a transfer to Georgia Tech and a degree from the same.  I could never have dreamed that my life would have played out this way, but I always knew it was never going to play out in the conventional way.  Things have always been different for me, and I'm just blessed to have had the opportunities and rewards that I've been given.  Going back to school was one of the best and most important decisions I've made in my life, not in just the education I've received but in the people I've been lucky enough to meet.  From my friends at GSU like Alyssa, Jeff, Nolan, Justin, and the rest, to my friends at Tech, like Scott, KC, Ob, and so many many more.  There's no way to even begin to contemplate how my life has change as a result of these people and this education, but without a doubt, it has been for the better.

So I've been doing tweaks to the website (adamcaskey.com) and hopefully, making ongoing improvements over the next several months, so be sure to keep an eye out.   Beyond that, the summer is going well thus far.  I've been working a lot trying to keep the bills paid and the lights on, and in the down hours, planning my next move.   Everyone keeps asking "so, what's next Adam?", and well honestly, I don't know yet, but that doesn't mean I lack ideas.  The short answer:  either Grad school, or a job.  But in reality the answer is a bit more complicated.  Nevertheless, don't assume that things are busily in progress behind the scenes, I just like to work and deliberate on these big life decisions on my own and then announce them when things are more finalized, rather than call the play-by-play of every turn and outcome.  Hopefully I'll know something firm soon, but in the meantime, it's exciting to know that within the next year, my life is going to be very different and hopefully exciting and challenging, whatever the outcome.  For now, it's get ready for working tonight at Roasters, and look forward to boyfriend time later tonight.

I'm also using a new blogging tool, so hopefully my journals on  Myspace, LiveJournal, Facebook, and my website adamcaskey.com will all be tied-in and updated together!  The "master" blog still lives on livejournal/adamcaskey.com which has my complete blog history, but hopefully future blog updates will at least be mirrored on the Myspace and Facebook.  More updates to come!
