A look into the life of Adam Caskey
Radiator problems mean more drama; fuel gauge replaced

Whew.  Today... well today sucked.  Yeah.

I ran all over the place today running errands to pick things up and what-not.  During the Lawrenceville layover in my errands, I discover that my radiator has a crack in it near the top.  I mean, I JUST got my car back from the shop with $500+ of repairs for brakes and tires!  I mean, I don't fault the Honda, and I hate the car.  I mean, it's a USED car, and well, these things happen.  It's just the timing really sucks.  And I mean REALLY sucks.  I'm in that point right now, where I vigorously trying my best to get my life into order, and flip things around.  But, right now... I really feel like, I'm taking one step forward, and taking 2 steps back.  What can you do though?  Nothing, except dust yourself off and keep going.  And, that's exactly what I'll do.  But, I spent a lot of time today silent, with my head in my hands.

On the up-side, I replaced my "electronic fuel level sending unit".  It's the electronic floater that sits inside of your gas tank to electronically send the fuel level to the dashboard gauge.  The old one was about a quarter of a tank lower than the actual fuel level, and even then wasn't always accurate.  Swift turns and such, would cause it to rise and fall making it unreliable.  The repair shop claimed it would cost of $300 for the part PLUS labor.  I scoffed and decided to do it myself and was able to do it quickly and at a significant savings.  With gas prices so high, it's EXTRA important to know how much gas you've got left so you can budget your trips.
