So here I sit... In the GT Student Center, checking email and such. It's been a great night of dancing and a few drinks. I drove up to the Student Center and to WREK to meet up with Javier to head over and see The Crystal Method at club eleven50 tonight. Before we left the station I had a chance to meet Gene Carbonell who was spinning live on WREK from 10-12. I've caught him before at several shows prior in the early days of "raves" and parties. He spun a great set on the show, and he was a very down to earth and fun person to talk to. He had some very interesting input on the "scene" and how it's evolved over the years since the early "raves". That was a real kick. After we left WREK, we picked up his friend and went to Javier's new condo. What a gorgeous place he has now. Ugh! I'm so jealous. He has now the lifestyle I want for myself after I graduate. A great job in Atlanta, and a hot fresh pad in Midtown, with a view of the Atlanta skyline, and walking distance to the clubs, and Piedmont Park. Anyhow, after checkout out his fresh pad we WALKED (naturally) 3 blocks to the club and saved ourselves the $8 parking. It was crowded, but the people were not as cool as last week for Deepsky. It was a more older, and lamer crowd. Which, you would expect for someone as popular as the Crystal Method. They did have some high points though, with some nasty and awesome synth lines.

I got my car back by the way. I picked Mobile 7 up Friday after having some front brake work done. That wasn't cheap either, but after replacing some tires, and getting the brakes fixed, I'm back in action, and she drives better than before. I wish I had a sugar daddy to pay for it though. Money is going to be a reoccurring issue over the next few months. Times are tough. But I’m looking forward to moving into the new place in 2 weeks.
