ACC's Doo-Dad - April 4th, 2004
A look into the life of Adam Caskey
My Saturday
Well yesterday was some kind of craziness:

Dogwood Festival: I woke up and raced down to the Dogwood Festival to get there by 3 so I could meet up with Kaedy and hang. We did stage announcements/band intros for some Band named "The Swear" and then walked around looking at the art and getting me a cheesesteak! (yuuuum)

Georgia Tech Final Four: After a while at the Dogwood Fest, I had to race back on MARTA to my Apt and get my car so I could jet out to Duluth to watch the big game against Oklahoma State with my brother Todd, Merck and Josh. It was a good game and of course, in classic Tech play-off style, it came down to the last minutes of the game. But we got it done. I couldn't believe how thrilled we all were. I'm sure booze played no role, but after following the team all season, it was such a great payoff. We just couldn't believe it.

Alex's: After the game, and about half of the Duke vs. UConn game, I left Bogey's Sports Bar in Duluth and raced back in to Atlanta to go hang at Alex's with he and Sarah. They were chillin and we all hung out for a bit.

Brian's: After some chill time there, Brian gave me a middle of the night drunk call. I was on my way out from Alex's and ended up stopping by Brian's dorm at Tech. We were both in good spirits... literally. We ended up walking around campus some, and over to the soccer fields by the SAC where some unknown activity was underway, despite it being close to 2am. There were camping tents setup, and a band was playing, and people were walking around as if on a running track. That was strange enough for Brian to want a piece of the action so we barged up in there like we owned the joint, and after signing some sort of waiver and putting on wrist bands, we were taking laps with everyone else... at 2am... in the middle of campus. Mind you we still didn't know what this was. It was then that it occurred to us that we were in a Breast Cancer Walk. Brian and I were happy to try and make a difference, but about one lap was all we could muster, as we needed more beer. We headed back to Brian's dorm and drank and talked. We eventually walked around campus a bit more and got into some deeper discussion. Overall a great night. And the Breast Cancer walkers were still going when I left around 5.

Quite a day.
