Lengthy day starting with school today. Math class was a bag of fun. Could we have tried to cover any MORE material in the span of one class? And I would really like if she could use the phrase "oh yah, this part you should know already, so I won't show you that" more often? Anyhow, work was busy, but on the ladder half of the workday, I went downtown with my close friend and station chief engineer to the Westin Peachtree Plaza where our station's broadcast tower sits atop. We had to replace some transistor tubes and I came to help. It's also good incase he gets electrocuted I can shove my shoe into his chest and kick him off of the transmitter... That part's actually no joke. Those things are juiced up. Anyhow, while we were up there and waiting for the new tubes to pre-heat, we walked up to the rooftop of the Peachtree Plaza. So it's around 7 PM, and we're out in the open air on the rooftop of the Plaza and all of the city of Atlanta is lit up below us. It was kind of windy and chilly, but not as bad as one might think, and the visibility was incredible! It was so humbling to be up there. It was surreal and just really seemed to put life into perspective. The whole city of Atlanta is practically in your viewpoint, and there's no glass between you and the world. You can feel the energy of the city and its incredibly peaceful. It was truly humbling. Current Mood: tired Current Music: Bruce Hornsby - Song C
