So pride was this past weekend. I had to work Friday and Saturday night. It was a concession I made to make SURE that I had Sunday off. The highlight of the weekend is the parade, and I wanted to be able to see that. KC and I woke up and walked over to 5th & Peachtree St. to find our spot. We arrived and shortly thereafter the parade made its way down Peachtree. It appeared larger than last year's probably due to the sunny weather. It was a great parade filled with both the zany and outlandish, and also the heartstring tugging moments like the proud gay parents marching, and various Atlanta area churches showing support. After a break at the GT bookstore, we made our way over to Piedmont Park to walk around the festival. It was a lot of fun bumping into friends all over the place. The heat was tremendous so a break here and there were required, but we made our full round around the park looking at the various displays and even stopping in at the AIDS Walk tent to signup, and I got vaccinated for Hepatitis A&B at the HepTeamAtlanta tent. So a great day all in all filled with entertainment, touching sentiment, and social responsibility. :)
Now back to reality, and... I do not enjoy studying for tests... (GMAT) grrr.
